This is an introductory note to introduce myself and notice the intentions of this blog. I hope to address several topics that are grist for science fiction including Faster Than Light (FTL) or warp drive, invisibility, teleportation, time machines, androids, brain downloading (uploading?), alien races, antigravity, multiverses and higher dimensional spaces.

All of these topics were entirely science fiction a decade or two ago and legitimate science did not bother to address them. Those that did tended not to be highly regarded by fellow scientists. This has changed to a degree and most of these topics are fair game. There are still a number of topics that legitimate science still eschews including UFOs, alien visitations, ESP, ghosts and apparitions. This is due to lack of repeatability, hoaxsters and a proliferation of crackpot investigators. I understand the hoaxster aspect since I was one. (See Morbid Curiosity Issue 5 2001 "Capturing a Flying Saucer" and "The Man From Tau Ceti".)

In any case please do visit my website kaliferdeil.com for science articles, a list of my publications and other stuff you may find interesting.
